Hey! Ever wanted to be able to boast about your favorite Zombie movie? Did you ever consider eating out the brains of all those idiots out there who would consider your infatuation with the genre as a little less than normal?
The Zombie Channel is the place for you to hang out to learn what is happening in the Zombie Verse. It carries videos, news, information, some really funny stuff, reviews and yes, even polls. The poll for this month let’s you pick from a boat-load of zombie films dating back to Frankenstein all the way up to Resi-Evil and you get to choose your favorite.
If you can’t get enough Zombie action, want to know how to protect yourself from those brain-feasting, slow-moving, grotesque-looking walking dead, then there is only one place for you to go to fill that unsated appetite — Farpoint Media’s — “ZOMBIE CHANNEL.”

Farpoint Media (FPM) staff and personalities will be converging on this year’s annual Podcast and New Media Expo (PME) located at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California. The event takes place September 28-30, 2007.
The PME is the major conference for the podcasting industry. FPM CEO and Director, Michael R. Mennenga, Supervising Producer, Summer Brooks and Jeffrey Willerth, FPM’s Managing West Coast Director will be attending along with a myriad of other members of the growing Farpoint Media family of podcasters.
This will be PME’s 3rd Annual New Media Expo. It’s sole purpose is to educate individuals and companies about how to produce high-quality audio and video digital content, grow a loyal audience, and market or monetize that content in creative ways.
The Expo is a “prosumer” and corporate event that brings together influential digital media creators, podcasters and content developers to cover the complete range of creation techniques, business objectives and future trends.
The Expo is also a major networking event where content creators can share ideas and build partnerships.
If you are a member of Farpoint Media and can get away to Ontario, California over the weekend of this event then we encourage you to plan to attend. You can register for the PME at the Website located HERE. We hope to see as many members of our FPM family as possible at this important conference.

If all fans of “The Dresden Files,” which was cancelled by The SCI FI Channel are serious about wanting to get their show back with all new episodes, there might be something you can do.
Taking a page from the “Save Jericho” script, one of our Slice of SciFi fans by the name of John VanSeters took our cue about Mike’s suggestion of sending drum sticks to the network to the next level and got SCI FI President Bonnie Hammer’s snail-mail address. The drum stick is an appropriate message to send to Hammer since Harry Dresden uses one for his magician’s wand.
You can mail those drum sticks to:
The Sci-Fi Channel
Attn: Bonnie Hammer, President
1230 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020-1513
Now get those drum sticks going and don’t forget to print “SAVE DRESDEN” on each stick you send to Ms. Hammer.

Dr. Robert Ballard is best known for his discovery of the wreck of the RMS Titanic. However, this is only one of his 121 expeditions including the discovery of deep sea thermal vents, the wreck of the German battleship Bismark, and John F. Kennedy’s patrol boat PT-109.
Technorama, a show that normally takes a light hearted look at tech, science, sci-fi, and all things geek, brings you another in its series of specials. The podcast was fortunate to catch the busy Dr. Ballard for an interview immediately following his latest trip to the Black Sea.
Join host Chuck Tomasi Friday, August 31, 2007 for a fascinating discussion with Dr. Robert Ballard about the Black Sea trip, Internet 2, autonomous underwater vehicles, history, and more. Feed your inner geek with Technorama!

Bryce Eddings, the man who puts out the Guide To Bear Newsletter talked about the exclusive FarPoint Media beer show — Speaking of Beer with Charlie the Beer Guy.
Here is what Bryce had to say:
“The other podcasting site that I’ve recently come across is Speaking of Beer. Unlike Basic Brewing, this podcast is more of a blog with fairly regular audio entries. Charlie, the self-christened ‘Beer guy,’ and his wife taste and discuss various commercial brews. He also includes pieces of particular interest to beer lovers, for instance his latest installment contains an interview with Sam Calagione, the owner of Dogfish Head.”
