FarPoint Media, one of the fastest growing Podcast production and distribution companies, has opened Sales and Programming offices in Los Angeles, California. This is the first expansion outside FPM’s Production Office and Studio operations located in Phoenix, Arizona.
The LA satellite is headed up by Studio City based Jeffrey Willerth, a veteran television producer and president of Erthbound Entertainment, Inc. who plans to tap into the entertainment industry. “The film and television business is crazy-go-nuts for all forms of new media to expand their reach toward techno-savvy audiences”, Willerth states. “Podcasting is a proven, low-cost, highly effective medium that can target and quantify loyal fans of a specific television series or blockbuster film. It’s also a viable tool to create and bolster an audience for projects still in development. Podcasting works for big studios or small indie documentary filmmakers, and everyone in between.” He adds, “For me, FarPoint Media clearly stood out as a company poised for growth. What really made my decision easy to join FPM was the fact my new partners, Summer Brooks and Michael R. Mennenga totally shared my vision for how Podcasting will become an integral part of entertainment industry.”
