FarPoint Media Welcomes New Podcast

July 12th, 2008

FarPoint Media is happy to announce the introduction of a new podcaster and her show to the FPM network of podcasts, video shows and Websites. The “One Tree Hill Connection” is a podcast from Denise Gideon that focuses on the popular CW Network television series “One Tree Hill,” the dramatic series that follows the eventful lives of some high-school kids in Tree Hill, a small but not too quiet town in North Carolina where the greatest source of pride is the high school basketball team, the Ravens. One Tree Hill is the place where nothing ever changed until one outsider changed everything.

Besides loving this non SF dramatic series Denise comes from a long background in sci-fi having been heavily involved in the campaign to bring “Farscape” back on the air for its proper conclusion. She currently serves as the president of the Southeast Scapers website. Denise’s experience in media became well established while doing PR work for the American publicity of the Australian film “Stolen Life” in which former “Farscape” and “Stargate SG-1″ actress Claudia Black lent her voice. Denise was responsible for arranging the premiere of “Stolen Life” (watch the Slice of SciFi reviewed) for Dragon*Con in Atlanta and the Official Farscape Convention in Burbank, California.

The creation of “The One Tree Hill Connection Podcast” stemmed from Denise’s love of that show. The program features various views and opinions about “One Tree Hill,” allowing Denise and those who tune in an avenue to express their thoughts.

Denise spent sometime getting involved with all the behind-the-scene aspects of podcasting before launching this major enterprise and used careful consideration and planning in its debut which first took place in May 2008. The first “One Tree Hill Connection Podcast” debuted after the season five finale of the television show aired and has been highly successful since that first launch.
